Marcus has specialised in treating patients with shoulder and elbow problems since 2007.  He works as a consultant physiotherapist in the NHS at Derby Shoulder Unit and is a researcher funded by the National Institute for Health & Care Research.

 

Marcus has a particular interest in treating patients with complex atraumatic shoulder instability and designed the Derby Shoulder Instability Rehabilitation Programme specifically for this purpose.  His programme is now widely used in the UK and overseas.

 

 

Expertly qualified

A member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and the British Elbow & Shoulder Society.

 

Professionally registered physiotherapist and independent prescriber with the Health & Care Professions Council.

 

Marcus has a BSc Honours degree and an MSc in physiotherapy, as well as a PhD in health research.

 

In 2018, Marcus was awarded the prestigious Copeland Fellowship by the British Elbow & Shoulder Society.

 

 

Private Consultations & Courses

In addition to NHS work he sees a small number of private patients and regularly teaches other medical professionals about the shoulder at national and international courses.
